We currently have a vacancy in our Logistics Team for a Logistics Assistant, on a 12 month basis to cover a period of maternity leave. The Logistics Team receive and process all sales orders for the business and are responsible for the monitoring and fulfilment of orders.

Responsibilities

Data Processing
• Precise processing of orders in database and mapping packages
• Monitor order delivery and completion
• Use of MS queries for reporting
• Organise, prioritise and monitor incoming requests

Communication
• Liaise with customers and sales team
• Communicate directly with contractors
• Monitor and resolve customer and sales team queries in a timely manner

• Ability to communicate at every level
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Possess a confident and professional telephone manner
• Excellent IT skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and the Internet
• Proven attention to detail
• Proven ability to solve problems
• Ability to work on own initiative, making decisions, managing own workload and time, whilst developing effective and supportive relationships with colleagues and customers.
• Strong customer focus

Knowledge & Experience
• Experience in a busy office environment
• Data input
• Knowledge of mapping systems, mapping software and/or UK arable farming would be advantageous but is not essential.
