Position Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for the right person to join the team based at Hermitage. The successful candidate will be responsible and accountable for planning, managing and maintaining adequate stock, ensuring orders are processed accurately and timely and commodities delivered to meet customer requirements. You will be joining a strong company which considers people and safety its top priority; hence, you will be responsible for maintaining the highest levels of quality, health, safety, environmental protection and personal standards.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Liaise with the admin team to prioritise and process orders
• Accurately pick orders and prepare for collection and delivery
• Liaise with 3rd party hauliers to ensure efficient/timely collection of goods
• Keep accurate stock records and maintain a clean, tidy and compliant store
• Undertake regular stock takes, reporting and thoroughly investigating any discrepancies
• Understand and develop site, environmental, safety and incident reporting procedures
• Understand and comply at all times with BASIS and COMAH limits/regulations
• Ensure stock is rotated, stored correctly and within the requisite temperature limits
• Maintain a close dialogue with the production manager
• Operate the site fork lift (reach and counter balance) safely and responsibly when loading/unloading vehicles and manoeuvring stock
• Work with the crop protection storekeeper to develop a strong team ethos
• Maintain an open mind set to ensure best practice is adopted, shared and continuously improved
• Assist with site maintenance when required and report any defects to the site manager
• Assist with any other site duties when required
• Takes pride in work and workplace and shows respect for work colleagues at all times
• Attend and contribute to site meetings at Hermitage and Andover

Position Requirements

• BASIS NSK and/or knowledge of COMAH regulations (training can be provided)
• ADR and forklift licence (reach and counter balance)
• Excellent organisational skills, including prioritising workloads, meeting deadlines and managing a varied workload in a busy environment
• Excellent communication and organisational skills
• The ability to evaluate problems and take corrective action in response to changes in customer requirements
• Ability to meet tight deadlines in fast paced environment
• A flexible approach to working additional hours in peak periods Saturday and Bank Holiday working will be required
